The Integrated M.S. Respiratory Therapy (RT) program is a two-year program and you will complete clinical rotations at area hospitals. Once you complete the Integrated M.S. RT program you will be able to sit for the licensure exam.
Student selection is based on a minimum 3.0 overall grade point average, science grade point average, GRE scores (300 minimum), consistency of academic performance, grade trends, and interpersonal abilities.
Integrated master’s applicants should have completed the general Georgia State undergraduate core curriculum with these specific science courses:
BIOL 2110K & BIOL 2120K Human Anatomy and Physiology I & II
BIOL 2300 Microbiology and Public Health
BIOL 2310 Microbiology and Public Health Lab
CHEM 1151K (Survey of Chemistry I)
CHEM 1152K (Survey of Chemistry II)
RT 2011 Application of Physical Principles in Healthcare OR PHYS 1111K
In addition, submitting TEAS Allied Health Exam scores are highly recommended for the integrated master’s program.
1. You must have your credentials and coursework evaluated by an international credentialing agency. World Educational Services or Josef Silny are two preferred service providers
2. You must take the GRE
3. You must take the TOEFL (80 or better IBT) or IELTS (7 or better total score)
4. You must submit 2 letters of recommendation
5. You must complete the required prerequisites

If I am an international student with international credentials/courses how can I apply?
You must have your credentials evaluated by an international credentialing agency (WES or Josef Silny). You must request a document by document evaluation. The TOEFL or IELTS is required for applicants whose first language is not English or who completed a degree outside the U.S.
