Dr. Finks has practiced occupational therapy in the states of Arkansas and Georgia for over 20 years. She has primarily focused her skills in the area of pediatrics using assessments and treatments derived from Sensory Integration Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Theory, Neurodevelopmental Theory, Developmental Approach, and the Model of Human Occupation. She has worked with children ages birth to 17 with a range of diagnoses including autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and genetic disorders in early intervention, clinical based and home health settings. Dr. Finks has also provided occupational therapy to students with Individualized Education Plans in the Gwinnett County Public School District. During her time in school-based practice, she supervised and mentored many Level I and Level II Occupational Therapy Fieldwork students.
