Marci Bennafield, MPH is a Clinical Instructor in the Health Sciences Department with primary teaching in the Health Informatics program at the Byrdine F. Lewis College of Nursing and Health Professions at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Ga where she teaches in the undergraduate and graduate programs. Her course focus includes health data analytics, database systems, electronic health records and applications as well as other healthcare system related courses. Prior to joining Georgia State University, Marci has an extensive career in healthcare technology and analytics. She has worked for healthcare consulting firms, healthcare insurance and (most of her career) with IBM Watson Health. In her roles, she has helped numerous customers and students gain insightful and actionable content from healthcare data, through relevant and robust analytics.
