Clinical Expertise
Dr. Garcia completed his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy (BSPT) degree from Fatima University in Manila, Philippines and he received his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from A.T. Still University in Mesa, AZ. His terminal project for his doctoral program was a comparison of stabilization exercise program and manual therapy in patients with chronic low back pain. Dr. Garcia is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT). Dr. Garcia has been the lead faculty participant in the Farmworker’s Family Health Project in Moultrie, GA since 2010. Dr. Garcia continues to practice at the GSU faculty-run clinic.Research Interests
Dr. Garcia's research interests include manual therapy, dry needling, orthopedics, pain neuroscience education in chronic pain patients and service learning in Physical Therapy.Certifications
