Oumme Sairally, a summa cum laude spring graduate of the Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies in health informatics (HI), moved from halfway around the world to earn her Georgia State degree. Senior health informatics student Maher Ahmed took and passed the Certified Associate in Healthcare Information and Management Systems, one of two health IT certifications offered by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society. The examination and preparation costs were part of a prize for being the 2019 Health Informatics Shark Tank champion.
