- Dean’s Fund for Excellence - Give Now! This fund supports all research and programmatic initiatives at Byrdine F. Lewis College and provides leadership with the flexibility to support students, faculty and staff endeavors as needed.
- Ken Lewis Fund for Innovation - Give Now! This fund supports the creation of a new simulation laboratory which will be shared by all departments in the college and is critical to the advancement of education in health.
- Rhodes Haverty Scholarship – Give Now! This scholarship provides support for outstanding students in the Byrdine F. Lewis College of Nursing and Health Professions. Recipients must be in good academic standing and have a demonstrated record of academic success in their chosen discipline.
- Emergency Student Fund - Give Now! This fund assists Lewis College students who experience unexpected hardship by providing them with immediate financial assistance, allowing them to continue focusing on their education.
The annual J. Rhodes Haverty Lecture is the Byrdine F. Lewis College of Nursing and Health Professions signature lecture. Started in 2003 and named for the college’s founding dean, the lecture focuses on contemporary health issues bringing renowned experts to the Georgia State campus. The college selects key leaders to discuss issues with broad appeal for diverse audiences, which include our students, alumni and community leaders.
- School of Nursing Department Fund - Give Now! This fund supports operational and program costs throughout the School of Nursing.
- Barbara Haltwanger Scholarship – Give Now! This scholarship provides support to students enrolled in the Byrdine F. Lewis College of Nursing baccalaureate program. Recipients must have a minimum GSU program GPA of 3.0 and a commitment to the nursing profession through community-based activity. Financial need considered.
- Cennette Fisher Jackson Scholarship – Give Now! This scholarship provides support for undergraduate students studying nursing who have demonstrated financial need.
- Maymi Walker Chandler Memorial Scholarship – Give Now! This scholarship provides support to female GSU students who are legal residents of Georgia. Students in the College of Nursing will be considered first, but the scholarships may be awarded to students throughout Byrdine F. Lewis College of Nursing and Health Professions.
- Merle K. Lott Scholarship – Give Now! This scholarship supports undergraduate students who are returning registered nurses enrolled in the RN to MS Program, graduate students who are in a primary care track in the College of Nursing or an RN pursuing a Masters of Public Health degree, and doctoral students engaged in research that contributes to the body of knowledge in public health nursing.
- Daniel J. Sansone Memorial Scholarship – Give Now! This scholarship supports undergraduate students majoring in nursing or respiratory therapy with preference given to pediatrics.
- Debianne and Robert Peterman Scholarship - Give Now! In honor of Debianne Peterman, who earned her associate's and bachelor's degree in Nursing from Georgia State University, this scholarship funds students who are single parents enrolled in the Lewis College. The recipients must be in good academic standing with 3.5 GPA.
- 4-South Scholarship – Give Now! This scholarships provides support to students in the School of Nursing. Recipients must be in good academic standing in the Byrdine F. Lewis College of Nursing and Health Professions and have a demonstrated financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid.
- Department of Physical Therapy Fund - Give Now! This fund supports all research and programmatic initiatives within the department of physical therapy.
- Physical Therapy Alumni Scholarship – Give Now! This scholarship supports students in the Physical Therapy Program in good academic standing with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Gordon Seagraves Cummings Scholarship - Give Now! Professor Gordon Cummings taught in the GSU Physical Therapy Department for 27 years. This award recognizes those individuals whose work, like that of Professor Cummings, promotes self-learning, critical thinking, caring and competence. This award is given by faculty nomination only, applications are not being accepted.
- Department of Respiratory Therapy - Give Now! This fund supports all research and programmatic initiatives within the department of respiratory therapy.
- James Ancil Lewis Award - Give Now! This award is given to a junior in the respiratory care program to honor Jim Lewis’ exemplary work in the respiratory care field. The award is given to students who exemplify Lewis’ characteristics of service to others, particularly in clinical work and direct patient care. This award is given by faculty nomination only; applications are not being accepted.

- Dr. Mildred “Missy” Cody Travel Endowment in Nutrition – Give Now! This fund provides financial support for students traveling to nutrition-related conferences and events.
- Barb Hopkins and Cathy McCarroll Endowment – Give Now! This fund provides financial support for Nutrition students volunteering at a health-related non-profit organization.
- Occupational Therapy Excellence Fund - Give Now! This fund supports all research and programmatic initiatives within the department of occupational therapy.
