Nineteen members of the inaugural Master of Occupational Therapy degree program, Class of 2018, received their white coats and pins at a ceremony in early May. The ceremony marks the transition from the classroom to the clinical phase of a healthcare students’ education. These ceremonies have been held only in the last 25 years for medical students, OT and PT students as well as physician’s assistant students and pharmacy students.

The Department of Occupational Therapy held their first white ceremony to mark the Lewis College’s 50th anniversary. OT was one of the original majors planned in 1968 when the college was founded but did not come to fruition until the first class enrolled in 2017.
