Congratulations Class of 2024!
- All master’s students may participate in the university’s graduate commencement ceremony on Wednesday, May 1 at 9 a.m. at the Georgia State University Convocation Center. More information may be found here.
- All undergraduate students may participate in the undergraduate commencement ceremony for the Lewis College on Thursday, May 2. More information may be found here.
- All DNP, ODT and DPT candidates will be hooded at the Lewis College doctorate commencement and hooding on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. at the Rialto Center for the Arts. Tickets are required and there is a limit of eight guests per graduate.
- Ph.D. candidates will be hooded on Monday, May 6 at 7 p.m. at Rialto Center for the Arts.

Information for DNP, DPT and OTD Graduates
ATTIRE
All doctoral students who are participating should wear an appropriate graduation cap and robe and the tassel must be in the color of your program.
All doctoral candidates should also have a hood for the ceremony. A hood is included in your regalia order when you place the order through the official vendor, Herff Jones, or you may borrow one from a previous graduate. Regalia orders must be made by April 4.
PHOTOGRAPHY
A photographer from Grad Images will be taking photos throughout the ceremony. Details on purchasing photos will be made available on this website and via email following the event. Please RSVP to the ceremony so we will have your permanent email on file.
CEREMONY CHECK-IN
Please report to the Rialto no later than 1 p.m. for check-in. Group photos begin at 1 p.m. so you may wish to get here early. Ceremony line-up will be at 1:15 p.m. STUDENTS MUST BE CHECKED-IN BY 1:10 PM OR THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MARCH. Please send your guests to the auditorium for seating.
Please wear your robe, cap, honor cord (if applicable) and bring your hood. ALL graduates will be hooded on stage during the ceremony. Do not bring extra items other than a cell phone or small purse. You will not be allowed to march in procession with extra possessions. Ladies, please limit your purse to a small clutch or shoulder bag worn discreetly under your robe. Note: there is no storage in the Rialto.

Family and friends are invited to attend the ceremony. Students are limited to eight (8) guests. Request tickets here.

Parking and Transportation for the Lewis College Ceremony
The commencement ceremony for DNP, DPT and OTD graduates will be held at the Rialto Center for the Arts at 80 Forsyth Street NW, Atlanta, GA 30303, on the corner of Forsyth and Luckie streets in the historic Fairlie-Poplar district downtown, near Centennial Olympic Park.
MARTA
We encourage you to take MARTA to the Rialto Center. Take the North/South line to the Peachtree Center station. Follow the signs that direct you to Ellis Street and the Atlanta Public Library. Exit at Peachtree Street South. Walk south on Forsyth past the Atlanta-Fulton County Central Library. The Rialto is about two blocks down on the right.
INTERSTATES
From the North
Take 75/85 South to the Courtland Street/GSU exit (Exit 249A), and follow to Auburn Avenue. Turn right onto Auburn Avenue. Go to the fourth light, which is at Forsyth Street. (As you cross Peachtree Street, Auburn becomes Luckie Street). The Rialto is on your left.
From the South and From I-20
Take 75/85 North to the Edgewood/Auburn Avenue exit (Exit 248B). Stay in the middle lane and follow to Auburn Avenue. Turn left onto Auburn Avenue. (As you cross Peachtree Street, Auburn becomes Luckie Street.) When you cross Forsyth Street, the Rialto is on your left.
To Return to the Interstate Afterward
Make a right out of the parking deck. Go to the second stop sign, which is Carnegie Way. Make a left onto Carnegie and an immediate right onto Ellis. After several blocks Ellis will feed into 75/85 North & South as well as Freedom Parkway.
Parking
Parking for other ticketed events is available for $6 per vehicle (credit card only) at the 100 Peachtree parking deck on the corner of Williams and Fairlie streets.

Directions to the 100 Peachtree Parking Deck (formerly the Equitable Deck)
The official parking deck of the Rialto is the 100 Peachtree Parking Garage, one block past the theater on Fairlie. Go past the Rialto on Luckie Street (Auburn Avenue), then take an immediate right as soon as you pass the Barclay Hotel (onto Fairlie). Follow the signs that say “Rialto Parking” and turn right into the 100 Peachtree parking deck. (The deck is not clearly marked as 100 Peachtree, so look for the “Rialto Parking” sign at the entrance). The address for the 100 Peachtree Parking Garage is 123 Fairlie St NW, Atlanta, GA 30303.
To access the Rialto after parking in the deck, take the elevator to the 3rd floor to exit onto Forsyth Street. Press the green button to the left of the double glass doors to release the locking mechanism and exit onto Forsyth Street to the right. Walk about half a block, cross Luckie St, and the entrance to the Rialto Center is on the right.
