4 Key Strategic Priorities


Facilitate student graduation success and expand program offerings

  • Increase interdisciplinary teaching and learning across the divisions.
  • Identify, recruit and retain master teachers.
  • Implement focused advising to ensure student success.
  • Increase utilization of technology in recruitment and retention activities.
  • Explore and launch new health profession programs.


Expand research
capacity and productivity

  • Develop an incentive plan to expand the school’s research portfolio.
  • Increase the number of named chairs and endowed professorships.
  • Create a structured mentoring program for new faculty.
  • Create interdisciplinary research teams who can compete for funding.
  • Launch an additional PhD program.


Strengthen collaborative entrepreneurial relationships
locally and globally

  • Develop entrepreneurial and collaborative relationships locally and internationally.
  • Strengthen relationships with local health partners from community-based partners to tertiary care centers.


 Ensure a robust and responsive administrative support structure

  • Centralize administrative support structure as appropriate to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Recruit, retain and advance high-performing personnel.
  • Provide leadership-training opportunities.
